INTRODUCING OURSELVES
Started in 1990 by Sister Noirin Egan in Melbourne Ward (the coronary care unit) at Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield, Middlesex, England, Heart Throbs is now one of the leading and most active cardiac support groups in the North London and surrounding area.
We are an independent group affiliated to the British Heart Foundation and offer help and guidance to people (including their partners and carers) who have a heart problem and want to return to a more active or normal life. Anyone with a heart condition, or who has had heart surgery, can discuss any worries they may have about their condition or lifestyle with Heart Throbs members who have had similar experiences.
SUPPORT is on two levels:
Monthly CARDIAC SUPPORT meetings
Regular CARDIAC EXERCISE sessions
Details of these are on separate pages.
COME AND JOIN US and meet people like yourself who have gained new confidence and returned to a fitter, happier and more active lifestyle.
